Base Salary
$162k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain solutions for estimating the pose of vehicles and other assets such as trailers.
- Evaluate and test localization solutions rigorously to verify the safety and efficiency of the system.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on partner teams to solve high-priority problems for Aurora products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience building software in a production environment.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python using modern best practices.
- Graduate-level degree in computer science, robotics, or electrical engineering.
- Deep knowledge of state estimation theory and practice, including sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, non-linear estimation, or SLAM.
- Experience with estimation and modeling using lidar, IMU, radar, and camera sensor data.
- Deep understanding of spatial transforms, linear algebra, and probabilistic estimation.
- Prior robotics or autonomous vehicle experience is desirable.
- Experience with machine learning solutions and/or GPU development is desirable.
