Base Salary
$136k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate high-QPS, low-latency systems that carry consent and opt-out signals from the SDK through the advertising auction.
- Own data-subject-request fulfilment by orchestrating deletion across downstream systems, tracking completion, and meeting SLAs.
- Translate changing privacy regulations into per-jurisdiction configuration and enforcement without country-specific code changes.
- Build measurement and auditing systems to verify compliance and detect failures.
- Contribute to content-policy enforcement, deduplication, labeling, and fraud-detection tooling across the marketplace.
- Partner with legal and privacy counsel, ML engineers, and data engineers to turn requirements, models, and pipelines into production systems.
- Manage priorities and drive work across team boundaries.
Requirements
- Experience designing low-latency APIs and distributed backend services operating at high QPS in production.
- Proficiency writing scalable code in Golang; Java is also welcome.
- Hands-on experience operating services on cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms and event-driven system design.
- Comfort working on systems whose correctness is externally audited and governed by requirements outside engineering.
- Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work in multifunctional teams.
- Preferred: AdTech experience and familiarity with IAB frameworks such as TCF.
- Preferred: privacy engineering, trust and safety, or fraud-detection experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and related global privacy regulations.
- Preferred: experience with SQL, NoSQL, Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Preferred: experience working with ML engineers or data teams to productionize models and data pipelines.
- Preferred: familiarity with Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
