Base Salary
$120k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Run reinforcement learning experiments in simulators of mineral processing operations.
- Build and refine training environments, including reward functions and action logic.
- Train control models and track their performance.
- Compare model behavior against real plant data to identify discrepancies.
- Write clean, well-tested code for production models.
- Collaborate with process and chemistry experts to understand unit operations.
Requirements
- 0–4 years of experience in machine learning, reinforcement learning, or scientific computing.
- Solid grounding in machine learning fundamentals and modern deep learning.
- Proficiency in Python and ability to debug existing codebases.
- Curiosity about physical industrial systems and eagerness to learn.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
