Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical roadmap for device observability infrastructure, provisioning, and lifecycle features across Amazon’s devices portfolio.
  • Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant provisioning workflows and telemetry pipelines.
  • Partner with device teams on firmware strategy and instrumentation architecture for collecting device signals.
  • Lead incident response, reduce provisioning failures, and improve production readiness and reliability metrics.
  • Define and monitor KPIs across a multi-device portfolio.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate software features while fixing defects.
  • Improve deployment automation, testing frameworks, and engineering workflows.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, architecture deep dives, and technical leadership.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and communicate milestones, risks, trade-offs, and proposals.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
