Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support software applications for ICE Bonds platforms including BondPoint and ICE Select.
  • Independently handle project activities related to application builds and deployments.
  • Create software tests and verify application functionality and quality.
  • Produce design documentation for new software development and subsequent versions.
  • Provide production application support during and outside business hours as issues arise.
  • Support deployments during maintenance windows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and optimize applications.
  • Work with product management to understand new requirements.
  • Collaborate with project and product managers, developers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver trading platforms.
  • Follow team guidelines and company software development processes and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience using Core Java.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design and commonly used design patterns.
  • Expertise in Core Java multithreading, collections, the JVM, and garbage collection.
  • Experience with Spring, JPA, and RabbitMQ.
  • Expertise architecting and designing event-driven distributed systems.
  • Experience with Bash, Perl, or another scripting language.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing and communication with technical and non-technical customers.
  • Preferred: practical experience using agentic AI tools such as Copilot or Claude Code in the software development lifecycle.
  • Preferred: experience with service-oriented architecture.
  • Preferred: experience in financial services or fintech.
