Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, deploy, and support complex software components and services.
- Implement advanced features using established coding standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices.
- Lead code reviews and provide feedback on code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to plan and execute technical initiatives.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects and production issues using root-cause analysis.
- Apply secure coding, testing, documentation, and software quality practices.
- Mentor junior and less experienced engineers and contribute to technical growth.
- Use and contribute to frameworks, tools, and technologies that improve application development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and training.
- In-depth knowledge of information systems and IT best practices.
- Professional experience building high-quality applications or services from the ground up and scaling them at enterprise level.
- Experience with open-source tools and frameworks, cloud technologies, service architectures, databases, messaging systems, and build tools.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, analytical problem-solving, and debugging.
- Preferred experience includes six to ten years or more of software engineering experience, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Preferred knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, banking or financial services, and relevant technology platforms or programming languages.
- Ability to plan and manage projects, solve complex problems, communicate sensitive information, and mentor teammates.
- English language fluency is required.
