Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
- Design and implement data pipelines with the data engineering team while maintaining data quality and integrity.
- Develop APIs and services integrating the cloud platform with web and robotic applications.
- Collaborate with web and robotics teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in unit, integration, and system testing.
- Monitor and optimize cloud-platform performance and reliability and resolve issues or bottlenecks.
- Lead development efforts for robot communication and fleet-management features.
- Stay current with cloud technologies and share best practices with the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
- Cloud engineering experience focused on Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Go, Python, TypeScript, Git, GCP cloud infrastructure, Pulumi, Docker, Kubernetes, data pipelines, and API design.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, robotics software experience, Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD experience, knowledge of Pub/Sub or Kafka, and familiarity with software development lifecycle practices.
