Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve scalable systems for referral management, partner data management, and patient booking experiences.
- Design durable application architectures and API patterns while evaluating tradeoffs related to security, performance, and scale.
- Lead complex technical projects across teams, shaping scope, estimates, execution, and alignment with business goals.
- Partner with engineering managers, product managers, designers, engineers, partners, and stakeholders on technical decisions and delivery.
- Mentor engineers, unblock peers, and raise the team’s technical bar.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to improve delivery velocity and time-to-value while identifying risks requiring human judgment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related professional experience.
- Deep understanding of modern application design architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scaling.
- Experience designing and evolving system architectures and selecting suitable approaches based on tradeoffs.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects across teams and align technical decisions with business goals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to explain where they accelerate delivery or introduce risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable work experience preferred.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure and tooling preferred.
- Experience with distributed systems, especially event-based systems, preferred.
- Experience integrating with third parties preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and advocate for reliability improvements preferred.
- Experience in early-stage or high-growth startup environments and comfort navigating ambiguity preferred.
