Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the cross-platform game engine and in-house tools embedded in King’s products.
- Collaborate with game teams and users across disciplines to optimize workflows and identify improvements.
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality, well-structured code.
- Improve product quality and performance across the game technology landscape.
- Share knowledge and best practices with peers and game teams.
- Support feature adoption and gather feedback from stakeholders across King.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and provide hands-on development support across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Strong C++ knowledge and experience.
- Python knowledge and experience.
- Experience with testing, automation, and continuous integration.
- Ability to develop on Windows and macOS.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working with cross-discipline teams.
- High standards for code quality and maintaining a polished codebase.
- Experience with performance-critical software is a bonus.
- Experience with game editor extension systems such as Unity Editor scripting, Unreal Editor tooling, or custom C++/Qt editor frameworks is a bonus.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Sentry or Grafana is a bonus.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes is a bonus.
- Experience facilitating workshops or leading internal technical presentations is a bonus.
