Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes workloads on OpenShift and AKS across production and test environments.
- Define cluster topology, multi-tenancy models, RBAC policies, namespace strategies, and workload placement standards.
- Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD and manage Kubernetes tooling including Helm, Kustomize, ingress controllers, and service mesh components.
- Maintain container image standards, vulnerability scanning, registry hygiene, and progressive delivery practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code modules using Terraform.
- Contribute to Azure cloud architecture decisions involving networking, identity, private connectivity, cost optimization, and multi-cloud extensibility.
- Maintain observability coverage for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting, and drive SLO/SLI practices and blameless post-mortems.
- Enforce security controls including secrets management, policy enforcement, network policies, and compliance practices.
- Mentor engineers, review work, remove blockers, and share technical knowledge across distributed teams.
- Maintain documentation, architecture decision records, and runbooks, and participate in architecture reviews and roadmap planning.
Requirements
- BTech, MTech, or MCA degree.
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, with prior principal- or staff-level experience.
- Deep hands-on Kubernetes experience, including production experience with OpenShift or AKS.
- Hands-on proficiency with Terraform and Argo CD.
- Strong Azure platform knowledge covering networking, identity, cost management, and Azure-native services.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
- Ability to mentor peers, communicate technical concepts clearly, and collaborate across distributed teams.
- Experience migrating workloads to Kubernetes or managing on-premises Kubernetes deployments.
- Familiarity with containerization strategies and legacy application modernization.
- AWS or multi-cloud experience is preferred.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS are preferred.
