Responsibilities
- Lead complex data and model development, deployment, integration, and automation pipelines.
- Set technical direction and lead architecture for AI/GenAI evaluation harnesses, scalable platforms, and production observability.
- Design efficient batch and real-time data pipelines and drive data discovery and quality practices for model development.
- Write and maintain model monitoring scripts, diagnose alert root causes, coordinate responses, and resolve production issues.
- Apply statistics, optimization, probability, machine learning, and large-scale data mining techniques to develop predictive systems and support business decisions.
- Partner with data science, MLOps, product, platform, architecture, governance, and business teams on strategic initiatives.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, communicate technical tradeoffs, and serve as a machine learning engineering subject matter expert.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in machine learning engineering or advanced data science roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or AI/ML; a relevant master’s degree or diploma is preferred.
- Experience setting technical direction and mentoring engineers on complex AI/ML systems.
- Deep hands-on experience building AI/GenAI evaluation, benchmarking, and evaluation harnesses.
- Expert Python skills and strong software and platform engineering fundamentals.
- Experience designing and implementing AWS and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience building LLM/GenAI systems with observability, monitoring, and production-readiness capabilities.
- Experience with MLOps/LLMOps, APIs, and scalable distributed systems.
- Strong ability to communicate technical tradeoffs to cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in regulated enterprise environments is preferred.
