Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain QuEra’s compiler pipeline from circuit-level quantum programs to pulse-level intermediate representation.
- Design a domain-specific language for programming atom shuttling in neutral-atom quantum computers.
- Implement and improve routing, scheduling, planning, constraint-aware transformation, and cost-model-driven compilation methods.
- Develop static analysis for quantum-circuit and atom-shuttle programming languages.
- Collaborate with QuEra scientists and external customers to address use-case requirements.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus on programming-language design and compilation.
- Experience with Python semantics, Python type hints, and the CPython interpreter.
- Experience with at least one compiled language and its type system, such as C++, Julia, Rust, Haskell, or OCaml.
- Experience developing compilers based on Static Single Assignment intermediate representations.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, logging, profiling, debugging, and documentation.
- Preferred: experience with computer microarchitecture or hardware design, LLVM or MLIR, quantum-hardware-oriented program optimization, quantum error correction, open-source libraries, and quantum-computing fundamentals.
