Senior Software Engineer (Golang)

Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, test, deploy, and operate scalable production services in Golang.
- Contribute to cloud-platform architecture, technical direction, design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Own services and features throughout the development lifecycle, from planning and design through production and ongoing improvement.
- Solve complex problems across distributed systems, APIs, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and licensing.
- Improve code quality, engineering standards, automation, delivery processes, reliability, and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop technical solutions.
- Share knowledge and help develop the wider engineering team.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Golang.
- At least 5 years of recent experience delivering multiple scalable services into production.
- Experience designing, building, and operating production-grade backend services and cloud-based distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS, ideally including ECS, EC2, Lambda, SNS, and SQS.
- Working knowledge of containerization and CI/CD automation.
- Working knowledge of REST, GraphQL, and/or gRPC.
- Experience with databases such as Postgres and/or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, reliability, maintainability, and code quality.
- Preferred experience with high-volume or distributed data platforms, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, identity and entitlement systems, cloud and edge environments, video, telemetry, sensor, or time-series data.
- Experience in a high-growth product or SaaS environment and interest in sports, performance technology, or data are advantageous.
