Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable Golang services.
- Own services and features from planning and technical design through production operation and improvement.
- Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the cloud platform.
- Solve engineering problems involving distributed systems, APIs, data, and cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Improve engineering automation, delivery processes, developer productivity, reliability, and code quality.
- Work with engineers and other teams to understand customer needs and develop technical solutions.
- Contribute to authentication, authorization, entitlement, licensing, data platform, and edge architecture initiatives.
- Share knowledge and help raise the capability of the wider engineering team.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Golang.
- At least 5 years of recent experience delivering multiple scalable services into production.
- Experience designing, building, and operating production-grade backend services.
- Experience with cloud-based and distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS, ideally including ECS, EC2, Lambda, SNS, and SQS.
- Working knowledge of containerization, CI/CD automation, and modern software delivery practices.
- Working knowledge of REST, GraphQL, and/or gRPC.
- Experience with databases such as Postgres and/or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, reliability, maintainability, and code quality.
- Preferred experience with high-volume data platforms, distributed data systems, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, identity or entitlement systems, cloud and edge environments, video, telemetry, sensor or time-series data, and SaaS environments.
- Interest in sports, performance technology, or data is preferred but not required.
