Base Salary

$100k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for computer systems, networks, and information
Identify and define system security requirements
Partner with engineering teams on internal and customer-facing security and privacy initiatives
Analyze security posture, identify gaps and potential vulnerabilities, and conduct security tests
Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cybersecurity designs
Write reports covering assessment findings, outcomes, and recommendations for security improvements
Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data maintenance and handling
Follow policies, guidelines, and procedures for protecting information assets
Report actual or suspected security or policy violations and breaches

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
Experience building and maintaining security systems
Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering
Experience with network security, networking technologies, and system, security, and network monitoring tools
Thorough understanding of current security principles, techniques, and protocols
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
