Responsibilities
- Build integrations connecting project44 with carriers and customers across logistics networks.
- Manage integrations throughout their lifecycle.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the team-owned supply chain visibility platform.
- Build systems in a multi-cloud environment using AWS and GCP, with consideration for other cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems.
- Share ownership of software delivery, including development, operations, and testing.
- Participate in team-based on-call responsibilities for owned systems.
- Invest in tools, monitoring, and automation to improve the on-call experience.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building large-scale, real-time or near-real-time cloud systems.
- Strong programming and debugging skills with proficiency in Java.
- Experience building systems in multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS and GCP; Azure experience is valued.
- Experience creating and working with scalable Java-based microservices.
- Experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL or another SQL-based database.
- Experience with event stores and stream processing using Kafka or Kinesis.
- Experience working in a software development environment.
- Experience investigating large and complex codebases is desirable.
- Hands-on C++ experience is desirable.
- Experience creating APIs or web services is desirable; REST and OpenAPI/Swagger experience is a plus.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
- Experience with DynamoDB, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL is desirable.
