Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, document, test, and support software products, systems, and subsystems.
- Develop software tools involving operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, and secure IP-based communications.
- Provide higher-level product-line architecture and technical guidance across multiple development teams.
- Lead major problem-resolution efforts and complete technical projects independently.
- Review customer specifications, define system requirements, and develop designs that account for cost and manufacturability.
- Mentor and coach engineers and provide technical expertise to engineering and support personnel.
- Develop prototypes to retire key development risks and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
- Support proposals, new business capture, business development, and customer presentations.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, technical management, and customers.
- Develop trusted engineering relationships and participate in customer design activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience.
- Mastery of relevant technologies and domain knowledge.
- Significant experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Active Department of Defense security clearance or ability to obtain one within a reasonable time after employment begins.
