Responsibilities
- Lead a software team developing embedded and real-time solutions for mission-critical defense applications.
- Contribute hands-on to software architecture, design, development, integration, debugging, and test.
- Execute the formal software lifecycle from requirements through implementation, integration, and test.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and Integration & Test teams.
- Lead technical execution, influence system and software architecture, mentor engineers, and solve complex technical problems.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline with 12 years of experience; or a master’s degree with 10 years; or a PhD with 7 years.
- Experience serving as a technical lead on a defense project.
- Experience across requirements, design, implementation, integration, and test in the software lifecycle.
- Experience with C/C++ or Rust and with embedded real-time systems.
- US citizenship and an active US Government Secret clearance are required.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio.
- Preferred: Rust development, Xilinx-based platforms and tools, Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Nexus, and Linux kernel driver development or modification experience.
