Responsibilities
- Design and build production services and RESTful or asynchronous APIs in Python using FastAPI or a comparable framework.
- Develop corresponding frontend capabilities using Angular or a comparable JavaScript framework.
- Build and integrate platform features with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and EKS.
- Integrate the Anthropic Claude API and Model Context Protocol as needed.
- Contribute to AI Governance capabilities involving explainability, observability, and prevention.
- Own feature and component design, including technical approaches, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Mentor engineers and review code and designs.
- Participate in effort estimation and challenge scope, assumptions, and estimates when appropriate.
Requirements
- Strong demonstrated experience shipping production software, with engineering depth prioritized over GenAI-specific background.
- Daily hands-on experience using an AI coding tool such as Claude Code, AWS Kiro, OpenAI Codex, or a comparable tool.
- Proficiency in Python and full-stack development, including FastAPI or comparable frameworks such as Flask or Django, Angular or a comparable JavaScript framework, and PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and EKS.
- Demonstrable exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, or a comparable agentic framework.
- Ability to design solutions from problem statements rather than only implementing fully specified designs.
- Baseline AI literacy, including understanding AI, identifying useful scenarios, directing AI, evaluating outputs, and using AI responsibly.
- Preferred qualifications include direct Anthropic Claude API and Model Context Protocol experience, work on explainability, observability, or guardrail requirements, and the ability to balance delivery speed, engineering quality, production readiness, and evolving GenAI platform needs.
- Familiarity with Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is preferred.
