Responsibilities
- Interpret software requirements and contribute to embedded software architecture design.
- Develop microcontroller software, firmware, communication protocols, and data acquisition system interfaces.
- Integrate embedded systems with external services and host applications.
- Implement, test, integrate, and troubleshoot software across the full development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
Requirements
- ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Five years of relevant technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and low-level software development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to work with additional languages as needed.
- Experience with communication protocols including UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, Modbus, SPI, I2C, CAN, and TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with schematics and digital/analog circuitry, plus experience working in Linux environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Preferred: experience with Verilog or VHDL, hardware-in-the-loop or system-integration test environments, Git/GitLab, APIs, containerized environments, MATLAB/Simulink, and SAST/DAST security tooling.
