Responsibilities
- Design and implement the next-generation logging and metrics platform architecture for global regions, data isolation, and regulatory requirements.
- Own the lifecycle and operations of more than 1,500 servers across bare-metal and Kubernetes environments.
- Write Go or Python automation and self-healing tools to reduce manual operational work.
- Improve CI pipelines to make cluster changes safe, predictable, and automated.
- Optimize distributed tracing and logging pipelines and tune Elasticsearch, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, and OpenTelemetry for high-volume traffic.
- Participate in on-call rotations, upgrade the platform stack, and maintain security and performance.
- Implement self-service guardrails, quota management, and safer API access patterns for platform users.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in observability or a relevant platform/infrastructure domain.
- Hands-on experience operating telemetry data stores at scale, such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, VictoriaLogs, ClickHouse, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, and Grafana Tempo.
- Kernel-level Linux knowledge with the ability to debug networking, filesystem, and performance issues on bare-metal and virtualized hardware.
- Proven experience operating and troubleshooting production Kubernetes workloads on-premises or in the cloud, including daily use of kubectl and Kubernetes primitives.
- Proficiency in Go or Python for building infrastructure tools and automation platforms.
- Experience with large-scale multi-tenant isolation and quota or cost governance for telemetry platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and security, auditability, and data-handling requirements is preferred.
