Base Salary
$110k - $315k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive, implement, contribute to, and operate AWS cloud cybersecurity strategy.
- Design, deliver, and operate cybersecurity controls for new cloud services across cloud tenants.
- Continuously assess cybersecurity risk posture and implement necessary improvements.
- Align AWS cloud solutions with business goals, security standards, and technology roadmaps.
- Integrate security into AWS cloud designs, initiatives, controls, platforms, and workflows with engineering teams.
- Provide technical AWS cybersecurity expertise across design, engineering, and operational support.
- Lead cloud architecture discussions and ensure solutions provide effective security controls and visibility.
- Educate and coach project teams, sponsors, and functional leaders on cloud cybersecurity.
- Support strategic decisions through detailed technical analysis and justifications.
- Recommend enhancements to cybersecurity tooling and services in cloud environments.
- Participate in a CSIRT responsibility rotation.
Requirements
- Proven experience securing AWS cloud tenants with cloud-native, open-source, and commercial security solutions.
- Strong experience with AWS security services and concepts including SCP, KMS, GuardDuty, SecurityHub, IAM conditions, VPC endpoint policies, Macie, and Inspector.
- Strong CloudFormation and Python knowledge, including the Boto3 library.
- Experience securing containers, Kubernetes stacks, and software development pipelines.
- Experience implementing endpoint detection and response and runtime detection and prevention capabilities.
- Experience with cloud workload vulnerability management and operations.
- Ability to translate technical direction into functional solutions and investigate complex issues across multiple technologies.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, manage multiple priorities, and explain technical concepts to senior non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Terraform or similar automation framework experience is preferred.
- Routing, switching, and networking experience is preferred.
- Experience with EKS, ECS, or similar micro-system environments is a plus.
