Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, and deliver backend application components that meet functionality, quality, and performance requirements.
- Support production by analyzing and fixing software defects.
- Perform coding, story refinement, environment management, release activities, and monitoring.
- Contribute backend expertise while considering the broader technical stack and squad responsibilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical chapters to improve engineering practices.603
Requirements
- At least five years of experience with a similar technical stack.
- Strong Java and Spring backend coding skills, including Spring Boot, MVC, Core, Security, and dependency injection.
- Knowledge of microservices, hexagonal architecture, design patterns, SOLID, clean code, and software craftsmanship.
- Experience with unit, integration, smoke, contract, and mock-based testing, including JUnit, Mockito, MockMvc, WireMock, and PowerMock.
- Experience with Maven, Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, DDD, Azure Pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Agile team experience using Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
- Retail banking knowledge, database migration, observability, security, reactive programming, messaging, additional testing, and frontend technologies are desirable.
