Responsibilities
- Build, test, improve, and maintain software and processes for calibrating mobile mapping systems.
- Own the full calibration lifecycle from ideation through production rollout.
- Collaborate with production and hardware teams to identify, escalate, and resolve calibration issues.
- Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation for calibration.
- Monitor and improve data quality through enhanced calibration procedures.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of experience calibrating sensors, ideally including cameras, laser scanners/LiDARs, and IMUs.
- Professional C++ development experience and good Python programming skills.
- Experience with C++ libraries including Boost, Eigen, and OpenCV; experience with Ceres, ROS, and PCL is optional.
- Proficiency with Linux and the command line.
- Experience modeling and solving difficult optimization problems, particularly involving 2D/3D correspondences.
- Interest in data quality and improving processes and workflows.
