Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and performant backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST.
- Build and enhance Angular applications using TypeScript, NgRx, and Nx, including shared libraries and micro-frontend architecture.
- Develop and consume APIs in a distributed microservices environment with emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and testability.
- Implement structured logging and integrate monitoring tools and logging aggregators.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers on GitLab CI/CD build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Apply automated testing practices using Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Improve code quality and security using SonarQube, Veracode, and secure coding practices.
- Optimize application performance, database interactions, service integrations, and data integrity with Oracle and relational databases.
- Support MBS initiatives including pool-level data processing, cashflow modeling, investor reporting, and REMIC structures.
- Translate financial-domain requirements into software solutions with product managers, analysts, and QA engineers.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to emerging technology and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 to 9 years of hands-on software development experience with WebLogic Portal and J2EE technologies.
- Experience with 3-tier or n-tier architectures, cloud computing, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Angular, NgRx, RxJS, and micro-frontends.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and developing microservices with Java/Spring Boot and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted application development and integration using tools such as Windsurf IDE or similar agentic IDEs.
- At least 3 years of experience with API concepts and REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, GraphQL, and Swagger.
- Experience writing RESTful web services with Spring/JAX-RS and developing Spring Portlet applications.
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services, source control using SVN/Git or equivalent, Oracle RDBMS, secure coding, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting or implementing complex integration projects and working effectively both independently and on large teams.
- AWS Developer Certification is highly desired.
- Experience with securities or financial services, Mortgage Backed Securities, SOA suite middleware, Web service security policies, WebCenter ADF, WebCenter Spaces/Portal, Remote portlet configurations, and PL/SQL is a plus.
