Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve component- and system-level test strategies, test plans, and QA standards.
- Design, prioritize, maintain, and document test cases for hardware, firmware, and embedded software.
- Build and enhance scalable automated test frameworks and reproducible test processes.
- Design, build, and operate test infrastructures, Hardware-in-the-Loop setups, measurement equipment, and stable testbeds.
- Plan and execute manual and automated tests and analyze, prioritize, and verify findings.
- Perform verification against requirements and validation of safety-critical functions.
- Conduct release and final system testing and contribute to release decisions.
- Coach colleagues and establish embedded testing and automation best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification, or relevant practical experience.
- Typically 5+ years of practical experience testing embedded systems or hardware-near products.
- Strong knowledge of test design and methods including unit, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, pytest, and Robot Framework.
- Experience building and operating test environments including Hardware-in-the-Loop setups and using measurement and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Experience with test management and issue-tracking tools such as Jira and TestRail, plus structured test documentation.
- Analytical, structured, hands-on working style and ability to act as a technical reference within the team.
- Good English and solid German language skills.
- Experience with RFID or wireless technologies, Zephyr RTOS, cloud/API testing, or security testing is desirable.
- ISTQB or other testing certifications are advantageous.
