Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C firmware for the existing reader platform.
- Integrate and validate RFID, authentication, and other credential technologies.
- Implement and enhance wired and wireless communication interfaces.
- Analyze and debug firmware on target hardware, including bring-up and troubleshooting.
- Maintain low-level drivers, middleware, and application modules in a bare-metal environment.
- Implement unit and integration testing using C#, Python, and other programming languages.
- Define and implement secure authentication, credential handling, and interface-protection concepts.
- Contribute to product-security measures and compliance with the European Cyber Resilience Act.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in embedded firmware development using C.
- Strong experience developing software for 32-bit microcontroller platforms.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems without an operating system and resource-limited platforms.
- Proficiency debugging and troubleshooting on target hardware with common development and laboratory tools.
- Experience with communication interfaces and protocols in embedded environments.
- Understanding of secure product-development principles and interest in cybersecurity requirements for embedded devices.
- Experience with STM32 microcontrollers is highly preferred.
- Experience with RFID, NFC, secure elements, cryptographic concepts, or cybersecurity-related regulatory requirements is a plus.
