Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and evolution of the platform infrastructure.
- Design, build, maintain, and operate reliable platform systems and production workloads on GCP and Kubernetes.
- Develop production services in Go, including OAuth 2.0 authentication flows and integrations.
- Work with Temporal for workflow orchestration.
- Design and manage cloud networking infrastructure including VPC, Cloud IPsec, and KMS.
- Design and operate production database systems using Cloud SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Own platform CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, monitoring, and alerting practices.
- Troubleshoot production systems, handle incidents, participate in the on-call rotation, and own production outcomes.
- Make architectural decisions, drive projects from design through operation, and provide technical direction for complex platform problems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards and practices as the platform function grows.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
- Strong production development experience with Go.
- Hands-on experience with Temporal, OAuth 2.0, Kubernetes, and GCP.
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 authentication flows in Go.
- Strong experience with cloud networking, including VPC, Cloud IPsec, and KMS.
- Strong experience with Cloud SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and alerting for production systems.
- Strong experience operating and troubleshooting production systems.
- Experience as a technical lead or engineering leader, including technical direction and architectural decision-making.
- Ability to remain hands-on, participate in on-call and incident response, communicate technical decisions clearly, and mentor engineers.
- Preferred experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other financial technology environments.
- Preferred experience with security-, reliability-, and availability-critical systems or highly regulated and security-conscious environments.
