Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and implement performance and resiliency test scenarios based on non-functional requirements.
- Automate performance test scenarios using functional and performance test scripts within the non-functional testing framework.
- Maintain traceability across non-functional requirements, performance test scenarios, and defects.
- Review test scenarios with development teams, business collaborators, and other stakeholders from technical and business perspectives.
- Track defects to closure, report test results, monitor execution progress, and escalate issues as needed.
- Contribute to delivery pipeline adoption for performance testing and improve testing coverage.
- Identify and manage environmental and test-data requirements with development and testing teams.
- Analyze application architecture and technical design for performance, resiliency, and scalability considerations.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to improve test coverage and identify performance improvements.
- Apply risk and control processes to daily testing responsibilities and escalate risks appropriately.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in performance engineering, including analysis, testing, and tuning.
- Experience with resiliency and chaos engineering.
- Expertise with load-testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with Snowflake tasks, warehouses, components, and optimization.
- Experience with AWS services including Kinesis, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with testing, using Jenkins or a similar tool.
- Expertise analyzing distributed platforms including Linux, Windows, AWS, containers, and VMware.
- Experience with performance-analysis tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, and TeamQuest.
- Knowledge of queuing-network and simulation-modeling concepts and experience with an industry-standard analytical modeling tool such as TeamQuest, Metron-Athenee, HyPerformix, or BMC.
- Experience scripting with Perl, Unix shell, Python, Terraform, Chef, or Jenkins.
- Experience with JMS and IBM MQ messaging systems.
- Understanding of JSON and XML.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office, including Excel statistical functions and PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience working with Agile teams, preferably Scrum.
- Experience working in Unix or Linux environments.
- Financial services industry experience is preferred.
