Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test scalable software for a high-volume, high-availability payment platform.
- Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and contribute to a complex monolithic application.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services, and Support teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Deploy new features to production with zero platform downtime and no impact to active customers.
- Build domain expertise in e-commerce payments and develop features for merchant onboarding and card-brand integrations.
- Support globally distributed services and contribute to reliability, monitoring, data recovery, and resilient platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant Java software engineering experience, excluding internships.
- Exceptional Java programming, SQL, relational data modeling, and database schema design skills.
- Experience with distributed services, RESTful API design, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Ability to derive technical requirements from high-level business goals and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, OpenShift, Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Harness, Snyk, SonarQube, Cucumber, Karate, monitoring tools, testing frameworks, and test-driven development.
- Preferred experience includes JUnit, pair programming, scalability in high-volume transactional systems, and self-healing resilient platforms.
