[WAP] Technical Lead (C#/.NET) – AI-Accelerated Development

Responsibilities
- Design, build, review, and ship production C#/.NET services, APIs, and React features.
- Contribute to and review Python development and maintain consistent engineering standards across the codebase.
- Lead technical planning, architecture implementation, task breakdowns, code-level design, and resolution of complex engineering blockers.
- Deploy services using Docker, Helm, Azure DevOps pipelines, and AKS, integrating them with the Microsoft Fabric data estate.
- Establish standards for testing, code reviews, and AI-assisted development tools, including guardrails and team documentation.
- Lead distributed developers through reviews and pairing, track technical status, surface risks, and provide mentorship without direct authority.
- Serve as the technical client contact by leading stand-ups, joining design reviews, reporting status, and ensuring clean handoffs.
Requirements
- 12+ years of commercial software development experience, including 5+ years as a technical lead on production systems.
- Expert C#/.NET experience with ASP.NET Core, API design, asynchronous programming, and EF Core or Dapper, including hands-on .NET coding within the last 12 months.
- Working proficiency in Python, React, and TypeScript, including Python typing, async development, FastAPI, and pytest.
- Experience with relational databases, schema design, query tuning, transactional correctness, idempotency, failure handling, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, preferably AKS, Helm, CI/CD, Azure DevOps or similar tools, and Terraform.
- Daily experience with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot Workspace, or Codex, plus experience setting AI-tooling standards for a team.
- Ability to lead distributed teams through technical design and code reviews without direct authority and communicate clearly in writing.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal ramp-up in an existing codebase.
- Preferred experience in payments, card processing, risk or fraud, merchant services, or PCI DSS-scoped systems.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Fabric, Delta Lake, analytical data stores, LLM-backed or agentic features, RAG, LangGraph, and evaluation practices.
- Preferred experience with Service Bus, Event Hubs or Kafka, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, OAuth2/OIDC, and Entra ID.
- Prior consulting or staff-augmentation experience leading teams embedded within client organizations is advantageous.
