Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales on technical discovery, implementation scoping, architecture discussions, and technical objection handling.
- Run customer pilots and proofs of value using customers’ own imagery and assets.
- Own customer deployments end to end, including configuration, integration, validation, and handoff.
- Build integrations connecting PowerAI to asset management, GIS, inspection data pipelines, and reporting systems.
- Use AI workflows and agents to make implementation work repeatable and reduce delivery time.
- Identify and technically validate expansion opportunities within customer accounts.
- Translate recurring customer needs into reusable deployment capabilities and clear product and engineering input.
- Build and ship reusable deployment tooling and AI agents for customer delivery and go-to-market workflows.
- Help define the Forward Deployed Engineering function as the company’s first FDE.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, implementation, or professional services at a technical product company.
- Experience partnering with account executives through sales cycles, including technical discovery and pre-signature implementation scoping.
- Strong Python or TypeScript skills and experience integrating third-party systems through APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building LLM and agentic systems involving prompting, tool use, retrieval, orchestration, and evaluation.
- Experience presenting to enterprise engineering stakeholders and navigating security reviews and architecture scrutiny.
- Ability to scope customer opportunities, work through ambiguity, communicate technical tradeoffs, and ship solutions.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
- Preferred: experience in utilities, energy, or another regulated industry with long enterprise sales cycles.
- Preferred: familiarity with computer vision, geospatial data, or large-scale imagery pipelines.
- Preferred: experience as an early technical hire building a forward deployed engineering, customer engineering, or implementation function.
- Preferred: background in RevOps or internal tooling with sustained adoption.
