Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Go services and declarative platform interfaces.
- Own artifact immutability, signing, semantic versioning, dependency pinning, and release standards.
- Define deployment contracts, environment promotion models, and Kubernetes topology for platform services and partner teams.
- Drive operational excellence through service level objectives, alerting, release provenance, availability, rollback, incident response, and post-incident follow-through.
- Build and improve CLI tools, project scaffolding, APIs, documentation, onboarding, and developer feedback loops.
- Set technical direction across CDI, evaluate emerging technologies, mentor engineers, and scale AI-assisted development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing systems work.
- Strong Go experience building and operating production backend services and command-line tools.
- Deep hands-on Kubernetes experience, including Helm, configuration layering, probes, resource and replica strategy, rolling updates, and network policy.
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and release engineering, including environment promotion and automated rollback.
- Strong relational database, distributed systems, and Go concurrency fundamentals.
- Production ownership experience involving on-call, incident response, telemetry, and operational improvement.
- Experience authoring reusable skills or agents for AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot.
- Preferred experience with Terraform or OpenTofu, policy-as-code, Open Policy Agent, Rego, PKL, CUE, Jsonnet, artifact registries, OpenTelemetry, mTLS workload identity, certificate rotation, secret management, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, data governance, privacy engineering, compliance, multi-tenancy, and developer engagement.
