Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize deep learning-based computer vision algorithms for human understanding, including pose estimation, gesture recognition, facial analysis, and behavioral modeling.
- Build motion synthesis systems and algorithms for realistic human motion generation and animation.
- Design and implement biometric algorithms for secure authentication and identification systems.
- Create real-time 3D perception and tracking systems for spatial computing and AR/VR applications.
- Prototype, reproduce, and validate research ideas and ship performance-critical perception technologies.
- Train, fine-tune, and deploy foundation models, including language and multimodal models.
- Present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate across functions.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, computer vision, machine learning, or a related technical field.
- Experience with deep learning and demonstrated work in at least one multimodal area such as vision, language, or video.
- Proficiency in Python and a modern deep learning framework such as PyTorch or JAX.
- Strong mathematical foundations in machine learning, computer vision, or a related field.
- Experience with foundation model architectures and training methodologies.
- Experience working effectively in a multifunctional collaborative environment.
- Preferred: PhD or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
- Preferred: relevant conference publications or a strong record of applying deep learning techniques to real-world products.
- Preferred: experience training, fine-tuning, and deploying foundation models; multimodal pretraining, vision-language and video-language models, and multimodal alignment.
- Preferred: experience building autonomous or semi-autonomous agents with planning, task decomposition, and multistep reasoning.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed training and model parallelism.
