Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in software design, development, testing, automation, and delivery.
  • Balance hands-on coding in C#, Angular, and APL with guidance of automation initiatives.
  • Define and own team-level test architecture, quality strategy, coverage metrics, test metrics, and quality KPIs.
  • Drive automation-first practices and improve tools, CI/CD pipelines, engineering processes, and productivity.
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach engineers in development, automation, testing, and technical excellence.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for complex defects and implement preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, architects, and cross-team technical forums.
  • Represent the combined development and QA approach and contribute to knowledge exchange.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with combined development and QA responsibilities.
  • Expertise in .NET and C#, with working knowledge of Angular.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership that improved engineering-team efficiency and project success.
  • Extensive experience with E2E, API, and integration test automation and test strategy.
  • Experience architecting and developing enterprise-scale applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure.
  • Deep expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Git, TeamCity, and Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, Domain-Driven Design, and relational databases using SQL.
  • Readiness to learn APL and develop and debug functionality in it.
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher English communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and guide a team toward technical excellence and efficient delivery.
  • Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms and a background in FinTech, capital markets, derivatives, or financial domains are advantageous.
