Responsibilities
- Own SAP MM Direct Procurement module design, configuration approach, estimates, sequencing, deliverables, and milestone commitments.
- Configure MRP-driven requisitioning, purchase orders, scheduling agreements, delivery schedules, release documentation, subcontracting, consignment, pipeline, and stock transfer processes.
- Set up supplier confirmations, inbound deliveries, ASN handling, and supply-reliability monitoring for production planning.
- Coordinate integration with Production Planning, Inventory Management, EWM, and Finance, including GR-based invoice verification.
- Lead issue diagnosis across configuration, data, and integration layers and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Lead a small delivery team, allocate work, review deliverables, mentor engineers, and manage business process owner relationships.
- Lead requirements and design workshops and communicate options, impacts, risks, and scope decisions to stakeholders.
- Create AI prompts, accelerators, validation standards, and Joule agent specifications for procurement analysis and scenario testing.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in the primary skill is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Deep hands-on SAP MM Direct Procurement configuration experience in S/4HANA or ECC, including scheduling agreements, delivery schedules, release creation, and MRP-driven purchasing.
- Expertise in subcontracting, consignment, pipeline processes, special stock, movement types, and valuation behavior.
- Experience with supplier confirmations, inbound deliveries, ASN processing, MRP outputs, procurement proposals, and production-impact analysis.
- Current and continuous hands-on configuration experience with no sustained break from build activity in the last 18 months.
- End-to-end ownership of an SAP module workstream across estimation, milestones, defects, integration testing, and cutover.
- Leadership of a small delivery team and direct ownership of business stakeholder relationships and contested scope discussions.
- Demonstrated adoption of AI-assisted delivery methods, reusable accelerators, prompt sets, or automation governed by output validation.
- Working proficiency with SAP Joule for Consultants, either on appointment or achievable within 90 days.
- Workstream ownership across at least two full-lifecycle SAP implementations or large rollouts.
- Preferred experience includes SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration, EWM inbound integration, SAP IBP for supply and response, supplier-managed inventory, and consignment settlement.
