Staff Engineer - Full Stack

Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend microservices, REST APIs, and modular frontend application layers.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering and data modeling through deployment, automation, and production support.
- Optimize code, browser rendering, database execution, and time and space complexity.
- Govern systems for high availability, multi-tenant fault tolerance, security compliance, and observability.
- Lead technical strategy, architectural reviews, development roadmaps, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Troubleshoot complex production performance issues, including database query latency and state-management memory leaks.
- Mentor 2–4 engineers and promote engineering best practices, OOPS, and SOLID principles.
- Integrate generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot into full-stack development workflows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience building and scaling full-stack applications in high-growth product teams.
- Expertise in data structures and algorithms, time and space complexity, object-oriented design, and SOLID principles.
- Proven ability to design scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, multi-tenant systems across APIs, web architectures, schemas, and data models.
- Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL systems, caching strategies, microservices, and distributed queuing systems.
- Strong understanding of frontend component lifecycles, state management, and client-side performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation, DevOps tooling, and cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
- Practical experience using generative AI tools to improve coding efficiency and technical exploration.
- Track record of building complex systems from scratch and scaling them through multiple production iterations.
- Experience balancing rapid delivery with maintainability, documentation, and scalability, plus coordinating technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Exceptional logical reasoning and technical communication skills for explaining complex designs to engineers and executives.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative technical field.
