Responsibilities
- Maintain, extend, and improve the S3 implementation.
- Design and develop system software in C/C++ under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
- Define and communicate detailed technical designs and participate in technical reviews.
- Own application development from design through development, testing, and deployment.
- Architect and troubleshoot system-level components, especially file system and storage system components.
- Conduct research-based technical work, document results, derive conclusions, and design solutions.
- Mentor junior developers.
- Support product deployment and resolve production defects in a timely manner.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in system software development and complex problem resolution.
- Expert knowledge of C/C++.
- Strong Linux development and deployment skills, including file system development.
- Full understanding of operating system principles and kernel procedures.
- Experience with open-source development tools including gcc, gdb, g++, and git.
- Experience designing and developing parallel programs.
- Understanding of Linux file systems and user-space I/O frameworks such as Fuse and SPDK.
- Strong communication, collaboration, motivation, accountability, and technical leadership skills.
