Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural evolution of the Coupa Supplier Platform.
- Define changes in architecture, prioritizing based on traffic and functionality needs.
- Set patterns for API design, microservice boundaries, and deployment pipelines.
- Mentor engineers and guide architectural and coding decisions.
- Participate in the Architectural Steering Group to share insights and best practices.
- Collaborate with SRE on cloud-native infrastructure and multi-cloud capabilities.
- Ensure security, multi-tenancy isolation, and data governance across regions.
- Work with product, design, and business teams to scale supplier workflows.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience building B2B SaaS at scale.
- Proven experience evolving legacy systems into microservices in production.
- Deep knowledge of API-driven services and multi-tenant architectures.
- Solid foundation in modern deployment practices including CI/CD and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Comfort with technology stacks such as Ruby on Rails, Golang, and Java.
- Track record of mentoring teams and providing direction without micromanaging.
- Strong problem-solving skills balancing scale, performance, and technical debt.
- Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, and business teams.
