Responsibilities
- Redefine the architecture of core backend services toward microservices and cloud-native approaches.
- Establish and lead refactoring standards focused on resilience, continuous delivery, and observability.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects to design application architectures aligned with infrastructure structures.
- Lead modernization initiatives including legacy module decomposition, module boundary redesign, and API and domain model refinement.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, development guidelines, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to scalable technical roadmaps and conduct proofs of concept for new technologies.
- Make architectural decisions considering security, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Define service SLA/SLO standards and quality and reliability metrics.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in backend development and software architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and building backend software architectures.
- Experience designing or refactoring architectures for large-scale or mission-critical systems.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native concepts including resilience, scalability, continuous delivery, and observability.
- Understanding of domain modeling, transactions, and data consistency.
- Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring within development teams or projects.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
- Experience designing inter-service communication using RESTful APIs and/or gRPC.
- Practical experience in collaborative development and code review environments.
