Base Salary
$249k - $348k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement highly available, low-latency control-plane services for subscriber provisioning and session management.
- Build and maintain stateful distributed services operating across terrestrial data centers and orbital nodes.
- Develop and optimize SQL, NoSQL, and time-series database schemas for billions of telemetry points.
- Design and deploy containerized distributed systems with service discovery, resiliency, event-driven processing, and large-scale monitoring and tracing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in C++, Rust, or Go.
- Deep experience with Raft, Paxos, distributed caching, and message brokers including Kafka and gRPC.
- Preferred experience designing and deploying Kubernetes-based microservices architectures, including EKS, AKS, or bare-metal environments.
- Preferred experience with Istio or Linkerd, dynamic multi-region service discovery, event sourcing or CQRS, and resiliency patterns such as circuit breakers, exponential-backoff retries, and bulkhead isolation.
- Preferred familiarity with Prometheus, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry for high-cardinality monitoring and tracing.
