Base Salary
$230k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed storage systems, including sharding strategies and query routing layers.
- Improve availability, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities across multi-region deployments.
- Build and enhance control plane automation managing thousands of databases and caching clusters.
- Optimize database performance and throughput by analyzing query patterns and improving connection pooling.
- Partner with product and infrastructure teams to standardize service connections to storage systems.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, with a preference for Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Experience building or operating distributed systems, including horizontal sharding and replication.
- Proficiency in Go and/or Rust, with experience in backend or infrastructure services.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS managed services.
- Strong understanding of system reliability, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
