Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end software solutions through design, development, troubleshooting, integrations, and algorithm maintenance.
- Build and maintain secure, high-quality enterprise-scale production code and database queries.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementations follow design constraints.
- Analyze large datasets to produce insights, visualizations, and reporting for continuous improvement.
- Define, educate teams on, and operationalize SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets in partnership with engineering, product, and stakeholders.
- Improve coding hygiene, reliability, system architecture, change management, release practices, and operational stability.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Lead cross-team platform and infrastructure planning, data center migrations, partner engagements, audits, and application hygiene.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, production operations, and operational stability.
- Strong coding ability in one or more modern programming languages and experience developing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise-scale code.
- Experience with database querying, the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile delivery, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
- Deep expertise in SRE practices involving reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise architecture, and toil reduction.
- Strong knowledge of operational tooling including file transfers, SSL/certificates, load balancers, job scheduling, monitoring, backup and capacity management, containers, orchestration, CI/CD tools, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, security, and data sensitivity.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work with senior business stakeholders and junior technologists.
- Exposure to cloud, AI/ML, mobile, and supporting technical processes is preferred.
