Responsibilities
- Monitor platform health across data pipelines, APIs, streaming platforms, and cloud services.
- Triage, investigate, resolve, and coordinate production incidents and service requests.
- Own incident lifecycle activities, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to preventive and corrective actions.
- Execute and improve operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, release activities, configuration changes, and production validations.
- Improve monitoring, logging, dashboards, alerts, operational metrics, and signal-to-noise ratio.
- Support SLIs and SLOs from an operational execution perspective.
- Use GenAI and LLM-based tools for log analysis, incident triage, recurring-incident pattern detection, root cause hypotheses, knowledge retrieval, and incident reporting.
- Help build and maintain AI-powered support assistants such as Platform GPT and operationalize AI-enabled support workflows.
- Document incidents, known issues, and operational procedures, and identify opportunities to reduce manual support effort.
- Collaborate with Production Support, SRE, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Integration, CloudOps, Security, and external vendors.
- Mentor junior support engineers and participate in platform readiness, operational reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in Production Support, Platform Operations, SRE, or AIOps roles supporting enterprise platforms.
- Strong experience supporting cloud-based data and analytics platforms, with GCP preferred and AWS experience relevant.
- Hands-on operational experience with data platforms and pipelines, API platforms such as Apigee and GKE, and streaming systems such as Kafka and Pub/Sub.
- Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Experience with distributed-system troubleshooting, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Practical experience using GenAI and LLM tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or internal LLM platforms for operational use cases.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting using Python, shell, or similar tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI usage, data privacy, security considerations, incident/problem/change management, SRE concepts, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Experience working in agile, DevOps-oriented environments with strong analytical, communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise-scale data warehouse experience such as BigQuery, exposure to AI/ML operations or data platform governance, and experience contributing to internal tooling, knowledge bases, or support automation frameworks.
