Responsibilities
- Participate in a cross-shore development team throughout the API development process.
- Collaborate with teams to create and improve microservice APIs.
- Participate in Agile scrums with cross-functional teams.
- Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance.
- Stay engaged with current technologies, open-source projects, and programming languages.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- At least one year of applied Java experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a high-school diploma/GED with Java application-development knowledge and at least one year of software engineering experience.
- Critical thinking, creativity, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical communication skills with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Preferred experience with front-end UI development and backend Java programming.
- Preferred familiarity with SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, Spring, Spring Boot, Jira, Bitbucket, Git, continuous integration environments, and unit and integration testing.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and familiarity with AI tools for developers, AI agents, and related instruction files.
