Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight for Amplify systems including web applications, APIs, and AI workflows.
Drive a forward-looking technical vision in partnership with stakeholders.
Lead the lifecycle of complex projects from discovery to long-term ownership.
Act as the primary technical interface between Amplify and other engineering teams.
Ensure the technical and architectural evolution of Amplify domains.
Define and uphold operational standards for systems owned by the team.
Create and improve shared engineering processes and internal platforms.
Utilize modern AI tools in engineering workflows and establish best practices.
Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews and feedback.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams to define problems and success metrics.
Represent Amplify in broader engineering discussions and initiatives.

Strong hands-on experience in building and operating full stack or backend SaaS systems.
Experience leading delivery of business-critical projects across multiple engineers.
Deep expertise in modern web engineering, including backend services and data pipelines.
Familiarity with AI-powered tools and their integration into development workflows.
Ownership of operational excellence, including performance and reliability.
Effective at working through influence and delegation.
Enjoy questioning convention and improving processes.
Clear communicator and collaborative teammate.
Experience working in small, agile teams.
