Base Salary
$136k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and own servers and cloud-based systems.
- Write, maintain, and deploy cloud-based software and distributed computational systems using Linux.
- Develop software and software architecture using C++.
- Plan and execute development, testing, and deployment of software features and cloud-based infrastructure improvements.
- Use Snowflake data warehouses and Aerospike distributed databases.
- Analyze and optimize algorithm performance and document development activity.
- Research and prepare software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, recommendations, and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and integration needs.
- Work with Quality Assurance to determine whether applications meet specifications and technical requirements.
- Review code, disseminate software best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- Provide technical leadership and interact with management and development teams.
- Work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience with compiled languages, databases, and network programming; C++ is preferred.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Experience developing software and distributed systems in complex environments.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Go experience and ad technology experience are preferred or advantageous.
