Base Salary
$143k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own the indexing, ingestion, enrichment, entity, identity, and feature infrastructure supporting agentic search.
- Operate hybrid sparse-vector, embedding-based semantic, and semantic-ID indexing across large clusters.
- Design high-throughput, permission-aware pipelines for parsing, chunking, embedding, entity resolution, and access control.
- Develop multimodal indexing for text, structured content, diagrams, images, audio, and video.
- Contribute to a knowledge graph linking entities across enterprise data sources.
- Improve query latency, indexing throughput, cluster health, observability, and storage efficiency.
- Own search infrastructure from design and rollout through ongoing production operations and roadmap planning.
- Drive reliability through index lifecycle policies, capacity planning, and cluster scaling strategies.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering background; PhD is a plus.
- At least 2 years of full-time industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with search technologies and proficiency in one or more of Lucene, Solr, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
- Experience with vector databases is advantageous.
- Willingness to collaborate onsite as part of an in-person team culture.

- Base pay is listed at $143,200-$243,000, plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.
