Responsibilities

  • Embed with customers onsite where needed to understand their workflows, constraints, and measures of success.
  • Lead technical discovery, solution design, and delivery for customer deployments, including integrations, data onboarding, workflow configuration, and new product capabilities.
  • Build and ship production code extending Partly’s core SaaS and API platform in close feedback loops with users.
  • Translate ambiguous customer problems into clear requirements, scoped milestones, and measurable outcomes for the product and engineering roadmap.
  • Own deployments after launch by troubleshooting live issues, improving observability, hardening edge cases, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop expertise in the auto-parts domain and help customers modernize how they source, identify, and transact parts.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building and shipping complex software in production environments.
  • Strong customer empathy and product thinking, with the ability to turn real-world workflows into pragmatic solutions.
  • Ability to own the full lifecycle from discovery and design through build, deployment, operation, and iteration.
  • Strong foundations in APIs, testing, system design, data structures, and debugging.
  • Experience integrating external systems through APIs, webhooks, EDI, FTP or file feeds, and SSO, including handling imperfect data.
  • Ability to collaborate clearly with customer IT and operations teams and internal product and engineering stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and balance time-to-value with long-term maintainability.
  • Experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or implementation is a bonus.
  • Experience with automotive parts, repairer or supplier workflows, or adjacent B2B marketplaces is a bonus.
  • Experience with Rust or strong interest in learning it is a bonus.
