Responsibilities
- Embed with customers onsite where needed to understand their workflows, constraints, and measures of success.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, and delivery for customer deployments, including integrations, data onboarding, workflow configuration, and new product capabilities.
- Build and ship production code extending Partly’s core SaaS and API platform in close feedback loops with users.
- Translate ambiguous customer problems into clear requirements, scoped milestones, and measurable outcomes for the product and engineering roadmap.
- Own deployments after launch by troubleshooting live issues, improving observability, hardening edge cases, and driving continuous improvement.
- Develop expertise in the auto-parts domain and help customers modernize how they source, identify, and transact parts.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping complex software in production environments.
- Strong customer empathy and product thinking, with the ability to turn real-world workflows into pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to own the full lifecycle from discovery and design through build, deployment, operation, and iteration.
- Strong foundations in APIs, testing, system design, data structures, and debugging.
- Experience integrating external systems through APIs, webhooks, EDI, FTP or file feeds, and SSO, including handling imperfect data.
- Ability to collaborate clearly with customer IT and operations teams and internal product and engineering stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and balance time-to-value with long-term maintainability.
- Experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or implementation is a bonus.
- Experience with automotive parts, repairer or supplier workflows, or adjacent B2B marketplaces is a bonus.
- Experience with Rust or strong interest in learning it is a bonus.
