Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end architecture for Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations and enhancements.
- Design scalable storefront, integration, API, data exchange, multi-site, and multi-locale commerce solutions.
- Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and architecture governance activities.
- Guide implementations using SFRA, OCAPI, SCAPI, Service Framework, Jobs Framework, headless commerce, and composable architecture patterns.
- Define integration strategies for OMS, payments, tax, fulfilment, analytics, search, merchandising, and customer experience platforms.
- Mentor developers, senior developers, and technical leads and provide technical oversight for complex development and integration work.
- Establish development standards, coding practices, security practices, quality standards, and technical governance processes.
- Define and maintain CI/CD, deployment, release management, source control, branching, and environment management standards.
- Use Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines to oversee deployment automation and release readiness.
- Drive technical root cause analysis and resolution of complex production and platform issues.
- Maintain architecture documentation, solution diagrams, and technical standards.
- Contribute to API-first, headless commerce, composable commerce, and AI-enabled commerce modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering and commerce platform experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience.
- Strong Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture, storefront development, platform capability, enterprise integration, API-first architecture, scalability, performance, and security experience.
- Experience with SFRA, SiteGenesis, OCAPI, SCAPI, Service Framework, Jobs Framework, multi-site commerce, and multi-locale commerce implementations.
- Experience designing and governing CI/CD pipelines, release management processes, source code management, branching strategies, and deployment automation.
- Experience conducting architecture, technical design, and code reviews and implementing code quality, security, and governance practices.
- Experience leading technical teams and architecture discussions, with strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, mentoring, and technical coaching skills.
- Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification is required.
- Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect Certification is required.
- Preferred experience includes headless and composable commerce, Backend for Frontend architecture, Managed Runtime deployments, PWA Kit, OMS integrations such as Sterling OMS, payment, search, merchandising, analytics, fraud prevention, tax, shipping, and fulfilment integrations.
- Preferred familiarity includes AI-powered personalization, search, recommendation, customer engagement, performance monitoring, observability, and retail or omnichannel commerce platforms.
- Ability to balance business requirements with technical constraints and influence technical direction across distributed teams.
