Responsibilities
- Define Azure architecture for shared Digital Energy software cloud and AI capabilities.
- Develop reusable platform services, architectural patterns, reference implementations, and deployable infrastructure.
- Build production-quality software, infrastructure-as-code modules, automated deployment pipelines, and operational standards.
- Design secure, resilient, observable, scalable, cost-effective, and cloud-to-edge Azure solutions.
- Establish patterns for identity, networking, data, integration, APIs, messaging, storage, compute, and multitenancy.
- Enable AI workloads using Azure services, containers, Kubernetes, model endpoints, data platforms, and security controls.
- Evaluate tradeoffs involving security, performance, reliability, disaster recovery, data sovereignty, latency, maintainability, and cost.
- Identify platform convergence and reuse across BDP, Building Automation, and Digital Energy teams.
- Mentor architects and developers across the global organization.
Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting and building production solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrated hands-on software engineering and cloud platform experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven design, and microservices.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, containers, networking, identity, security, storage, messaging, monitoring, and automation.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Bicep, Terraform, or comparable technologies.
- Experience designing CI/CD and DevSecOps processes.
- Strong understanding of reliability, availability, disaster recovery, observability, and cloud cost management.
- Ability to move between executive-level architecture discussions and hands-on engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Azure AI services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry, model hosting, or AI platform engineering.
- Preferred experience with hybrid cloud, edge computing, IoT platforms, smart buildings, building management systems, energy management, or industrial systems.
- Preferred experience designing SaaS platforms and multitenant architectures, working in regulated or security-sensitive environments, modernizing established software portfolios, or creating internal developer platforms and reusable cloud foundations.
