Responsibilities
- Define Azure architecture for shared Digital Energy software cloud and AI capabilities.
- Develop reusable platform services, architectural patterns, reference implementations, and deployable infrastructure.
- Create working software, prototypes, production foundations, infrastructure-as-code modules, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Design cloud-to-edge architectures and establish patterns for identity, networking, data, integration, APIs, messaging, storage, compute, and multitenancy.
- Enable AI workloads using Azure services, containers, Kubernetes, model endpoints, data platforms, and security controls.
- Evaluate tradeoffs involving security, performance, reliability, data sovereignty, latency, maintainability, and cost.
- Mentor architects and developers and drive convergence and reuse across BDP, Building Automation, and Digital Energy teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting and building production solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on software engineering and cloud platform experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven design, and microservices.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, containers, networking, identity, security, storage, messaging, monitoring, and automation.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Bicep, Terraform, or comparable technologies.
- Experience designing CI/CD and DevSecOps processes.
- Understanding of reliability, availability, disaster recovery, observability, and cloud cost management.
- Ability to work across executive-level architecture discussions and hands-on engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Azure AI services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry, model hosting, AI platform engineering, hybrid cloud, edge computing, IoT platforms, smart buildings, building management systems, energy management, industrial systems, SaaS, multitenant architectures, regulated or security-sensitive environments, software modernization, and internal developer platforms.
